So you want to know a bit about Campfour...
The decision to open Campfour came about on a climbing trip to North America. After returning from the trip and a few months of blood, sweat and tears, we opened Campfour’s doors in January 2004.
We stock technical climbing and mountaineering equipment as well as walking and camping gear. Because we are independent, we can call on our own experience as mountaineers, climbers and walkers when deciding what to stock – we aren’t dictated to by a ‘head office’.
We pride ourselves on service in the shop, and spend time with our customers, offering friendly, useful information and advice gained from personal experience. We want, as much as possible, to make that level of service and experience available on the web. Hopefully you see this when you browse the site.
Ever since the day it opened the shop has been great fun. It quickly became a busy meeting place for climbers and walkers. Off the back of this has come ‘The Chapel’ bouldering wall and Thursday Night climbers.
