The DMM Spectre is a special karabiner. It was the first of DMM's new generation I-beam karabiners. It is the karabiner of choice for a lot of DMM's sponsored climbers. Partnered with skinny 11mm Dyneema, the DMM Specture us a fantastic all round quickdraw - a brilliant choice whether it is being used for sport, traditional or alpine climbing.
Features:
- The Spectre is a good size and is large enough to be used with gloves for Winter work.
- 10kN open gate strength.
- The nose is shrouded to minimise the chance of the gate being opened accidentally.
- The wire gate keeps weight to a minimum, whilst providing an easy clip with minimum chance of it freezing or gunging up.
- The gate is curved to give a constant tension for ease of clipping and increased long-term safety.
- The tip of the wire is also bent so that it pulls into the nose when under tension to minimise the chance of gate open loading.
