The new Mountain Equipment Hielo 2 has been taken right back to the basics of mountain design, taking the elongated geodesic principles of lightweight expedition tents which developed more than 20 years ago and bringing them back up to date.
The result is a lightweight yet spacious 2 person mountain tent. Extremely stable, it’s inner-first pitching design is reinforced by the flysheet shell which acts as a taut shell; not only providing protection from rain and snow but radically increasing the inherent strength found in its geodesic structure. Equally in warm weather when you simply want shade the inner can be pitched alone.
