The DMM Bug is your classic-style belay device, suitable for single ropes, double ropes, twins.

The DMM Belay Master is a unique combination of a HMS with an integral plastic clip that together increase the safety of the belay system.
The clip can only be locked into place when the screw gate barrel is tightened into the locked position, thus providing a fail-safe check that the biner is closed securely.
The plastic clip also stops the karabiner from rotating in the belay system and being cross loaded.
A couple of alterations have been made since the original Belay Master:

The keylock nose has been developed further so that the profile is flared and tapered. The result is a wider cross-section which allows greater side loading and push in strengths than ever before

The barrel of the auto-locking gate has a greater surface cross-sectional area of contact with the gate when loaded from any direction
